LAKE RAY HUBBARD;
The lake is
situated on the Dallas/Rockwall county line and centrally located between
Rockwall, Rowlett, Garland and Heath.
Just minutes from North Dallas and Downtown, the lake is ideally situated
to serve the local area and the greater Dallas Metroplex for all water
sports and boating with an estimated population of over 400,000 people
within a fifteen mile radius. With the new expansion on I-30, and the
construction of the George Bush Freeway, Lake Ray Hubbard will continue
to support the growing Metroplex by linking Dallas directly to Rowlett
and Rockwall.
Rockwall is a virtual oasis with Lake Ray Hubbard as its major attraction,
the largest lake in the region. Robertson's Park is the focal point to
access the Lake from Rockwall/Rowlett.
Estimates by the North Central Texas Council of Governments indicates
that Rowlett is one of the ten cities in the region to have grown by more
than 40% since 2000 with an actual annual growth of 47%.
A new study by American City Business Journal ranks Rockwall County as
ninth in the nation and first in Texas for prosperous growth potential.
